Apple will launch the 13.3-inch OLED MacBook in 2024

According to a new report by industry analyst Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Apple is looking at introducing MacBook and iPad models equipped with updated OLED displays. These new indicators will come to market sometime in 2024.

It looks like Apple will launch a 13.3 ”OLED notebook in 2024 over the 11” OLED and 12.9 ”iPad Pro’s. Expected to be a MacBook Air, but it could be a MacBook, MacBook Pro or a new class.

The analyst suggests that Apple will launch a new MacBook, upgrading the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. Considering the MacBook Air recently updated year, a new MacBook Pro or a new MacBook class seems to be the case. It is possible that this information will change to 2024, however.

Meanwhile, both 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with OLED displays may use display technology called “tandem stack” which should improve panel endurance while reducing power consumption by 30%. Also, Apple’s OLED panels are expected to have flexible upgrade levels for additional efficiency. Apple’s 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros are the only Apple-offered laptops with OLED displays that Apple calls ‘Liquid Retina XDR’.

A recent report suggested that Apple is working on a 15-inch MacBook Air. According to the report, there are also 12-inch MacBook versions. Apple’s M2 Pro and M2 Max chips are expected to start mass production later this year by TSMC and the 14-inch and 16-inch upgraded MacBook Pros may arrive early next year.
